Donna Brown

Donna Brown is one of only five female officers hired in 1979 by the Tallahassee Police Department. Donna was a patrol officer, FTO, training officer, FTO sergeant, detective sergeant for fifteen years, ten of those years supervising the department’s Homicide Unit.
Donna retired in 2006 after a 26-year career, and became an author.

Volume I of Donna’s award winning Behind and Beyond the badge series was published in 2017, Volume II published in 2018 and Volume III in 2022. Donna is passionate about humanizing the badge and first responder mental health.
