Fire Chief

Anthony Perez is the Fire Chief of Pasco County Florida, and a Pasco County citizen himself. Chief Perez began his firefighting career journey as a firefighter for Pasco County Fire Rescue over 26 years ago. He eventually transferred over to Tampa Fire Rescue, where he served in field operations, as well as Chief of Operations and Chief of Personnel. When the opportunity to return back home to the Pasco County family arose, Chief Perez jumped at the opportunity to serve his home community and officially started July 31, 2023.

In addition to his passion for fire and emergency response operations, he is also driven in servant leadership and motivating and inspiring others to reach their full potential and to continuously grow. He mentors, teaches, speaks at conferences, and regularly engages in community and charitable events alongside his wife and children. He has a strong faith and very family orientated values and his priority is always providing the best resources and support for the men and women on the front lines, while increasing their protection and quality of life to the fullest.
